Hillier Consulting designs new range of equine feed supplements packaging for Rossdales Hertfordshire. The project includes 14 product packs, new dosage instruction labelling and a colour brochure.

Major design and business development project for Rossdales

Hillier Consulting has today (9 November 2016) successfully completed a major design and business development project for Rossdales Hertfordshire.

The project includes the redesign of a range of product packaging for 14 equine feed supplements, new dosage instruction labelling and a comprehensive 40-page colour product brochure featuring all the supplements in the range, instructions for use and a detailed appendix with complete, independently verified formulation and analysis. Price lists and order forms have been designed for print and online use.

Impressive overhaul of branding and typography

The redesign features improved application of the Rossdales corporate identity in order that the brand is more clearly presented and readily identified. Typography has been completely overhauled and the presentation, on each product label, of analytical constituents, storage instructions and safety information reordered and improved.

Redesigned, weatherproof dosage labeling

A streamlined range of waterproof, self adhesive dosage labeling is designed with input from veterinary surgeons and field trials in inclement weather and real-life yard situations.

Andrew Hillier of Hillier Consulting commented:

This has been a complex and painstaking undertaking. I can’t recall ever having had to design product packaging to carry so much detailed information in such a limited space. I am thrilled that we have managed to achieve such a clear and practical solution.

Dr Susanna Ballinger MRCVS, managing partner and head vet at Rossdales Hertfordshire added:

My team and I are really pleased with the results. The new packaging is attractive and practical. Vets and clients are able to identify the product easily and the essential information is clearly set out on the pack.

Dr Ballinger continued:

The new brochure design is outstanding. It is interesting that one of the stand-out elements of this project is possibly the smallest; that of dosage labelling. Hillier Consulting has designed and produced a simplified and much improved self-adhesive dosage label system which is so much easier to use in the wind, cold and rain when working in the field.
