Hillier Consulting’s director, Andrew Hillier, is appointed by Street Event Company (SEC) as its Communications Director. SEC event management works with London Notting Hill Carnival Enterprises Trust (LNHCET) to manage the delivery of a better, safer Notting Hill Carnival.

A new professional approach to communications, media, marketing and public safety

For the first time in the 50 year history of Notting Hill Carnival, LNHCET has appointed an event management company, SEC, to take over the management and logistics of delivering a better, safer Carnival in 2017. Whilst LNHCET remains the organiser of Carnival and continues to oversee the artistic content of the event, SEC is set to introduce new safety measures in 2017 and is in consultation with delivery partners as to what improvements may be implemented for Carnival this year.

Hillier’s appointment adds strategic communications expertise

Notting Hill Carnival is Europe’s biggest annual street festival, attracting many hundreds of thousands of Londoners and visitors from throughout the UK and across the world. Every August bank holiday, Notting Hill’s characterful neighbourhood streets become the setting for one of the world’s liveliest carnivals. Managing the staging of a safe, celebratory carnival is a complex challenge. In appointing Andrew Hillier Director of Communications, SEC adds strategic communications expertise to its senior leadership team.

Andrew has a detailed understanding of the challenges associated with delivering Notting Hill Carnival, having been involved with different aspects of the event as far back as 2001.
